Summary:
What is the Journal?
The journal tool allows students to write feedback and reflections on subjects. It is especially useful for semester-long reflections. Only the student and the teacher can view journal entries.
How do I create a Journal?
Steps:
Go to the course
Turn editing on

Click on Add an activity or resource
Click on the Activities tab

Select Journal 
Enter the Journal name
Write the question(s) the students are to answer
Choose how long you want the journal to remain open (set by days or weeks)
Select the grading method: point, scale, or none
If using points, enter the number of points the journal is worth
If your gradebook is set up, choose the grade category to place the journal in
(Optional) Set up as a group assignment and choose the group type
Click Save and return to the course
What will the students see?
When students access the Journal in LearningHub:
They click on the Journal link
Click on Post

Type in the Entry box
Click Save changes
